Brighton Jubilee Library
The library has level access with large automatic doors that lead into the small library shop. Just past the shop you turn right through more wide automatic doors to get into the main library. There are 3 floors.
The ground floor is for fiction children's books, audio and films. There is also a small coffee shop and magazine reading area on the ground floor. The children's books are down a long ramp to the right of the entrance and can also be accessed via a 3 steps near the toilets.
The top floor is non fiction, rare books and study area. There are stairs and a lift to all floors to the right of the entrance. There are toilets on all 3 levels with separate disabled toilets that have NKS RADAR key locks. The next floor is the mezzanine floor witch contains all the offices and conference facilities.
The top floor (1) is where the non fiction, rare books, IT suite and study areas are situated. The study area has large desks with metal framed chairs.
All the shelves are reachable from a wheelchair. The staff desks are normal desk height. There are library catalog computers on the ground and first floor. Manny of them are at counter height with only a few at normal desk height.
Short walk down a steep hill from Brighton train station. There is a small amount of parking nearby with only a couple of disabled bays available however it's easy to get to by taxi. Buses are available from North Road and Gloucester Place.
