Use street view and cycling directions to assess accessibility.

Main road with viaduct

Online maps like Google Maps (and the Brighton and Hove Journey planner) can provide a street view which allows you to look at the building and surronding area before getting there which can give you useful information about the physical accessibility of the the building. You can also get cycling directions that try to give you the flattest route to your destination. The routes given are a good starting point for your journey but do not account for other conditions that can make access difficult.
