Disability Advice is Changing
As I mentioned in my Winter Statement post earlier this year I have been having adaptations made to my bungalow. We had to move out of our home for nearly 3 months and the work is still on going. Unfortunately the work will not be complete this year. Therefore I've not been able to catch up with all the work on Disability Advice that I wanted to. I have tried to answer sone of the new email I have recieved and I have maintained the site to keep it secure.
The Future of Disability Advice
As mentioned in my last article it is not viable for me to continue working on the project on my own. After my call out for help earlier this year I had a couple of offers of help that unfortunately haven't come to anything. This left has me with only 2 options:
- I either transfer the site to a non profit organisation that can provide the resources.
- I close the site down.
I have decided to try transfering as much of the Disability Advice projecty as possible to one or more of my local disability organisations. By the time you read this I will be negogiating with a some of my local Disability Organisations about transfering the social media and domain registration. It is not clear at the moment how much (if any) of the site they will want to keep.
To limit the work required to maintain the site and improve security I have decided to close all the contact forms and close the site registration.
